The First Holy Communion Class is a key venue for spiritual formation in our children.  Kids uncover the answers to questions like, Who is God?  What is Sin?  Who is Jesus?  What is Salvation?  And how do we pray?  They learn the core beliefs of the historic Christian faith, and they have a ton of fun in the process.

Each child walks away from the experience with practical tools to continue on their spiritual journey like the trinity bookmark, which acts as an ongoing reminder of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; a personalized prayer journal to encourage a lifestyle of prayer; and their very own Bible to act as a guide as they continue to learn and grow in faith.

At the end of the class, each child is honored in the First Holy Communion ceremony where they participate in the Eucharist with the greater church family.  It is a momentous occasion marking their first steps toward spiritual maturity.

Beacon offers the First Holy Communion class for FREE to the community once a year in the winter.  Contact Christine Kwarren for more information or to get your child enrolled in the next class.
